Liv Hunt, MS
A native Texan and graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Liv Hunt made her way to New York City as a member of Teach for America. She began her professional journey as a classroom teacher in the Bronx, where she developed a strong pedagogical foundation. After earning an M.S. in Library and Information Sciences from Pratt Institute, Liv’s passion for teaching diverse learners led her to a seven-year career at an independent school for students who learn differently, allowing her to gain a deeper understanding for differentiated, strength-based education.
Transitioning out of the classroom, Liv got an inside look at the world of school admissions as an Associate Director of Admission at a college preparatory boarding and day school. And in her greatest role yet, she has personally navigated the joys and complexities of raising two spirited sons, one of whom has learning differences. Synthesizing all of these experiences, Liv specializes in evaluating the individual needs of each child and adolescent she works with, determining not only the best academic fit but also taking into consideration family dynamics, social-emotional needs and co-curricular interests or passions. The right school is out there for everyone, and Liv’s holistic and collaborative approach guides each student to where they belong.
